In order to live carefree, many would be quick to suggest not to care what others think about you. A sane life’s motto might say, ‘I should live and act the way I want to, and damn the rest of the world.’ However, in reality, I find myself being very conscious of other’s perceptions. I presume my clients feel the same way. As we interact on the globe, we all are judged on other’s perceptions of us, personally, professionally, for better or worse. This philosophy is fundamental when I compose images for my clients or myself. When composing a photo, I search for what would appeal to the widest number of peoples’ perceptions, the ‘moth to light’ theory, as I like to call it. I get true professional satisfaction when I know that the proverbial moth came to my clients from the light I provided.
