This image had the x=infra+ready preset from the official Adobe Lightroom Preset Download section
So recently I've noticed that the Adobe Lightroom world has gone nuts with presets - I'm starting to become an addict/collector myself. For those who do not know, Presets are certain pre-produced effects that can be applied quickly to an image in Lightroom. For example someone, anyone can make a certain look like sepia tone in Lightroom and save that combination of control sliders to apply to other images in a collection. This saves time from trying to remember how to get that neat look again in the future. These presets can be shared too. So a quick search online will produce a few sites that will allow you to download 100's of presets for your own use http://bit.ly/jRkh. It is cool to see all the variations your image can take on. But the question is: Is your own originality compromised when someone else created the effect or look put into your photo, and does that bug anyone? Or would one have thought up that look on their own and the preset is just saving time and taking care of the inevitable? These presets can change the entire feel of the image with just a click and are pretty powerful. So are you a preset Pusher, Junkie, or Recreational user? Who has time to try them all out? Answer: Preset Junkies do.
