So here is the job description: To shoot many vacant interiors in a undisclosed San Francisco Office Building for a client’s lease proposal in under 30 minutes time. These did not make the client's final cut (http://bit.ly/91KZIh) but I found it fascinating how sunlight can filter/creep through the glass, walls and surfaces of the interior and create awesome gradients. Gradients are easier to see when images are set to black and white!

Summer and Roadtrips are like peas & carrots. What draws me to make these pilgrimages is well... the car has A/C…… and it gives me an excuse to be in it. Even though I’m kidding I think that might be part of it. But as a photographer a roadtrip is like going on field excursion if I was a botanist or etymologist. There is so much to photograph and the best part is you have a destination instead of just driving in circles, which I do on occasion. I just got back from Bozeman, Montana. Climbing, Hiking, Biking, Hotspringing and yes Photographing. As you can see with the photo I used as an example- there is slight change to the color and contrast. This is a Lightroom Preset called “Cool Autumn” you can download these and 192 others here: http://bit.ly/aYNEvh - this preset works really well with people on cloudy/low light days. It gives skin on a cloudy day a punch of color- maybe a tad orange for some but it reminds me of the color films just as they were starting to gain momentum in the 50’s but shot with a camera from today.
