The Freeport Water Intake Photo Shoot

Freeport Water Intake- using HDR for photo capture

This photo is HDR perfection- not to much - not to little- click here to see rest of shoot; http://bit.ly/cXYI8t

I just completed a three-day shoot near Freeport, CA. This facility is a drinking water intake on the Sacramento River for East Bay Municipal Utility District, Sacramento County, and the Freeport Water Authority. The thought process that went into this structure is incredible. It not only looks awesome from the outside – but the technical inside is clean and the main interior light comes mostly from natural light illuminating all the controls. The days of the shoot I was lucky - as I had varying light conditions overcast to direct sun making for great variations in atmosphere and light intensities. Cooling Tower Challenge

Large Crane moves Cooling Tower in Place at Kaiser

    larger version here: http://bit.ly/a9gLOD

So this shoot was a tad challenging- my client Airco Mech http://bit.ly/dnJggB of Sacramento wanted to capture the process of assembling a cooler tower and placing in it place with an enormously large crane at night at Kaiser Hospital. They did the move at night to lessen the impact on the hospital. It felt like a reality show challenge for all the crew on site to choreograph this feat. For me this was a slight departure from architecture photography but a good commercial photography variation.
